Hyperliquid fee and PnL calculator

Enter a trade and see the fees Hyperliquid would charge, what is left after fees and the exit price you need to break even. Fee rates come from the official Hyperliquid perpetuals fee schedule, including the volume tiers and the HYPE staking discount.

Estimates for education only, not investment advice. Real results also depend on fees, funding, slippage, margin tiers and price moves between updates.

How the calculation works

Fees are charged on position value when you open and again when you close: fee = position value × fee rate. Market orders pay the taker rate; resting limit orders pay the maker rate.

Base rates (tier 0) are 0.045% taker and 0.015% maker. Higher 14-day volume lowers them, down to 0.024% taker and 0% maker at the top tier.

Staking HYPE gives a further discount of 5% to 40% on trading fees, depending on the amount staked.

Referral-code discounts are not included because Hyperliquid does not publish one fixed rate; this site does not use referral links. Funding and slippage are also not included.

FAQ

What are Hyperliquid trading fees?

For perpetuals at the base tier: 0.045% for taker orders and 0.015% for maker orders, charged on position value at open and at close. Rates fall as your 14-day volume rises.

Does leverage change the fee?

Not the rate, but fees are charged on the full position value, so the same margin at higher leverage pays more fees in dollars and as a share of your margin.

How do I pay less in fees?

Use limit orders that rest on the book (maker), build 14-day volume for a higher tier, or stake HYPE for a discount of 5% to 40%.
